Ever since STARSET formed in 2013, they’ve released 4 studio albums, 10 singles, 18 promotional singles, and several music videos. While some fans say the band’s best style comes through in later albums, each of their albums have wonderful factors that have made them popular for music lovers across the world.

Their first album, Transmissions, was released on July 8, 2014. Three singles were released in support of the album; “My Demons”, “Carnivore”, and “Halo” which all made it to the top 20 of the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Charts. The album could be described as a concept album. And it found quick success selling 79,000 copies in the US and a quarter million overall if you include album sales, downloads, and streaming.

VESSELS, their second album, was released on January 20, 2017. The album found success peaking at number 11 on the Billboard 200. With its first single, “Monster” peaking at number 2 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart in May of that year. Their second single, “Sattleite” peaked at number 12 on the same chart in November 2017. The album was critically praised with one outlet stating that it “works on multiple levels” and that “if you’re looking for engaging singular tracks to fill your playlist, this album has several songs that could keep the band on radio for a long run.”

STARSET’s third album, Divisions was released on September 13, 2019. The singles “Manifest” and “Trials” reached numbers 14 and 8 respectively on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. And Loudwire named the album one of the 50 best rock albums of 2019.

The album was first announced as a concept as early as January 2018, as frontman Dustin Bates stated it would be released far in the future as he was taking a break from the band for a side-project. The album conceptually referred to a a fictional story about a dystopian future caused by the misuse of technology. And its music videos matched the same theme featuring citizens from various backgrounds affected by mind control tech.

Finally, STARSET released Horizons on October 22, 2021. The album faced generally positive reviews with some believing it was a strong step forward for a band and a demonstration of the band at their very best. And it stands out in taking the themes of their previous albums and continuing the story through their music.
